Matthew 28:18-20

The fact that many of us have not had to suffer harsh consequences as a result of our baptism does not invalidate our baptism. One does not have to live in a place where baptism comes with the threat of imprisonment or death in order to be baptized and identify with Christ. However, it’s probably not a bad thing for some of us to be reminded that pledging allegiance to King Jesus through baptism is his name is a serious matter and not one to be taken lightly.
